My Opinion About Private:
Introducing Private to an adult surfer is like bringing firewood into forest, but let me mention a few facts about the company anyways. Private Media Group is one of the pioneers of the adult entertainment industry as we know it today. They were the first to come up with a full-color adult publication and started to publish adult magazines back in 1965. A lot of time passed since the company was founded, but they still remain active on the adult scene, and there are no signs of an end anywhere in sights. Actually, they are probably more active than ever.
Private started as a publisher of print media, but with the massive spread of Internet, they simply couldn't stay behind. If I'm not mistaken, they started their internet site back in 1997, so we should be looking at a mature product here. Hoping for the best, I'm about to review their flagship site Private.Com.
The site is huge, that is something I can tell right after loging in. There is a ton of stuff and options we can check out, making the navigation a bit complicated. It took my a few minutes to feel myself at home in the members area, but that is something that is ok with me, especially with sites as big as this one. The main sections at Private.Com are Stars, Live Sex, Magazines, Movies, Sextras and Forum. Now let me take a look at the sections one by one.
The stars section : here you can check out about 70 entries, each dealing with a different Private star. It's actually a variation of a diary, combined with interviews and pictures. Some of the entries were a bit short, but I found some interesting info over here. Live Sex section links mostly to flirt4free live feeds, which is not bad but almost all paysites are doing it these days, so nothing exceptional. The Sextras section contains some goodies like wallpapers, post cards, stories and stuff like that. The Forum is a place to check out in case you want to become part of the Private community.
Now the most important sections Magazines and Movies. The Magazines section is what most members would probably come for. Archived many years back, covering 4 series of magazines - Private, Pirate, Triple X and Sex plus the Special Editions and Books published by Private. You'll get a ton of magazines scanned, packed in pdf files easily viewable right on your screen. I really liked browsing through this magazine archives, made me feel like back then, when I used to buy porn magazines and jerk off to them on the toilette :-) Downloading the magazines in pdf files, is like actually buying them in book store. It's a real copy of each of the archived magazines, with pictures, articles, ads ... a complete copy. All these "scans" are in very good quality, which is great. Any fan of Private should join this site for the magazines alone.
The Movie section is also a good one, offering a lot of Private titles for download or streaming. The movie section is further divided into subsections - Private Movies, Private Channels, Featured and Backstage Shoots. The best part is Private Movies, containing 100 full Private movies that you can download. The "channels" are streaming video scenes, "featured" are trailers from movies that you can buy in their shop and the "backstage" videos don't need any commentary.
Like I said, there are many full movies that you can download, but there are two problems - their quality is not the best and you have to pay extra $$$ to get high quality, plus the movies are DRM protected, so once your membership expires, the movies will stop working. I was a bit disappointed by this, paying members would deserve better quality and movies they can keep. Still, I had good times watching these movies, there is a lot of great hardcore action to be seen. Private has produced many excellent movies, it would be a shame not to take a look at those :-)
Let me sum up the content numbers at the end - 100 full length movies in wmw format that you can download, hundreds of scenes in streaming format, 4 series of magazines archived many years back, live sex and many extras - surely more than enough to justify the price of the membership.
Final Verdict:
Private.Com is a site I liked a lot, but have to rate lower because it has a few negatives. Limited movie quality and DRM protection is something I can't overcome and have to deduct some points for. On the other hand, the magazine archives are worth joining the site alone. So the final recommendation would be : in case you like porn magazines, join the site and download a lot of them here, and consider the movies and other content as an excellent bonus.
